Block Resurfacing

Endgrain blocks resurfaced. Most blocks can be resurfaced to offer pristine engraving surface. Boxwood blocks sometimes throw up small surface defects when resurfaced. This is almost never the case with lemonwood.

Tool Sharpening

Wood engraving tools reground and sharpened: £3 per tool

4" Sandbag

Essential piece of equipment as a support for the block whilst engraving. These are the best sandbags I have encountered and are of the same quality as those sold years ago. Very firm and made from best quality vegetable tanned leather with sinew stitching and mellow burnished finish. Please note that 6” and 8” sandbags are heavy items and the online postage calculations may not apply. Please ask for postal charges for these two items.

Burnishers

Printmaking burnishers in hardwood with horn or bone tip. A humble tool with a luxury feel, for printing without a press. These burnishers are very comfortable to use and are produced in various combinations of exotic woods with tips. Please contact me if you have a specific preference. Designs may vary slightly. Practice Pack

Small endgrain blocks very popular with beginners, but also useful for those wanting small blocks of random sizes and shapes. Pack consists of five Lemonwood and five Boxwood blocks, all made to the same high standard as made to order blocks. Please note that these pieces may not be always type high (they may be a little below or above). If you require them not to be above type high, please indicate this in your order. The size range is indicated in the photograph.
